Accommodation requirements - staying in a relative's rental property
For our accommodation requirements we are putting down my husband's father's rental property because he lives in a three bedroom house on his own. (Edit for clarification: he rents this property from a landlord and lives in it himself. He does not own the property)
Would these items be enough to prove this:
- Signed letter from landlord giving us permission to reside there.
- Land registry title
- Property inspection report
- Photos of the house inside and out
Is there anything else we should include? Are any of the above not necessary?

Re: Accommodation requirements - staying in a relative's rental property
We put down my father's house as he lives alone in a four bedroom property. We provided:
A signed letter from him to say we could reside there rent free until we found a place of our own. In the letter he described the house and who he was etc.
A copy of the picture page of his British passport;
The Land Registry deed as evidence he owned the property.
This was sufficient in our case.

Hi! Thanks for your reply. However our situations are different as my father in law does not own the property, he rents it. We would be living with him.

If the property is rented then you can use a tenancy agreement in lieu of the land registry title.
