Default 1st month not a full paycheck - not counted?

Will it be six months from my very first pay cheque that we can apply for a spousal visa, or 6 months from my first FULL pay cheque that we can apply? I started 8 days into my first month, so my pay at the end of that month wasn't quite full.

It's fine to use a partial months payslip as long as the gross value is above £1550 (ie £18600/12) for the days you worked that month as when using only 6 months employment over £18600 they just take the lowest payslip & multiply by 12 to calculate salary.
However, remember that you need to have actually worked for 6 months, not just received 6 payslips. So you can't submit your application until it's been longer than 6 months since your start date at your current employer (just something that nearly caught me out since I also started a few days into the month & received 6 payslips before I'd actually been in the job 6 months)

If he started work 8 April so at end of October he gets full payslips for May, June, July, August, September and October, then YES.......

but if he started 8 May, then although he has payslips for May, June, July, August, September and October, his May payslip is only for 22 days. So better to apply when he has 6 months full payslips at end of November.

Hi everyone, thanks for your replies. I'm actually not applying until January, just trying to be prepared. I started my job on the 8th of July. That first month's paycheck wouldn't be enough, so I will just wait until the end of January for one more payslip and apply then. Thanks for the help :-)

Hi i started my job on 7 may 2019 and recieve salary on 28 every month ! I had 6 months payslips and money recieved in to account for 6 months above the threshold of 18600 !

I submited my online application for my wife on 29 october and she had her biometric on 31st october . Even though i have 6 month payslips but actual 6 month employment will be on 7 november .

I made a mistake by submiting the application. What are the chances now ? Your replies would be highly appreciated . What is been done is done , just asking for piece of mind. Thanks

If you just provided those payslips and no evidence of any previous employment then your wife’s application should be refused as you didn’t meet the financial requirements under either Category A or B at the time of application.
