Hi

Would anyone be able to tell me if it's possible to get engineering work in Hong Kong with no mandarin or Cantonese? I am a manufacturing/design engineer with 5 years experience. Anyone else start off in the same boat?
Otherwise do you know if its possible to transfer to other sectors such as finance?

Your biggest issue regarding working in HK is whether you have the right to do so. Do you have a permanent HKID card ? If not then the lower the status of the job the more difficult it will be to get a work permit.
