Yes, I know most of the teachers at the Nanjing Foreign Language School A level centre although I don't work there. What would you like to know?

The school is nice - got the best standard of student in Nanjing. Some of them are frighteningly intelligent. If you are not on top of your game they'll notice. Staff are all very nice, from all over the world and usually socialise together on Friday nights and have a 5-a-side football team which they do with the other Dipont school (Jinling) up the road.

I think you'll have a good time. If you are a dedicated and hardworking teacher the students will love you. The harder you work them, they more they love you - apparently!

I will surely meet up with you when you get here. What is your subject?

Hello, I don't know much about Nanjing, but I lived in Nanchung, Jianxi province a few years ago. If I could recommend anything, it would be to initially prepare yourself to be completely overwhelmed by the new culture, language, lifestyle. But once the dust settles, I'm sure China will leave you absolutely mesmerised!

I have been offered a chance to live and work there with a school mentioned above. Am excited but very nervous and would really like some help with how the cost of living is really like. I need to make my decision soon. Please email me, personally, if you wish to tell me more and get in contact to discuss by Skype. Would like to meet you for meal if possible, drink as would be less of a shock to the system.
