British Expats - Industrial Placements in China for Civil Engineers

Hi all,
firstly what a great idea for a website, for the last few months I've been struggling to find a organissation who may be able to help me in my search, and then I spotted this little gem!

I'm currently a 2nd year student studying MEng Civil Engineering at the University of Portsmouth, I speak basic Arabic and Mandarin, and am hoping to spend a year working overseas, either in the Middle East, or in China, having researched into British firms abroad, I've had very little luck finding anyone offering such an experience.
I'm wondering if there is anyone here who may be able to point me in the direction of a colleague or friend who may be able to help me.
I've currently had 4 months of good solid contracting site experience in South Wales.
