Chimelong Water park
 

Hi folks
We're planning a trip out to Asia later this year with wife and 3 kids (9/11/13) to visit friends/family in HK, Sing, Taiwan and Tokyo. While we're in HK wife is wanting to head across to see what Chimelong has to offer. Thing is, we can't find anyone who's actually been! Looking for some first hand feedback on whether it is worth a look, or better to pass, given time is limited.

The Park is not actually in Hong Kong. Its over the border in Guangzhou. To be honest I had never heard of it and had to google it. However, it looks good on the website.

Were you planning on visiting Mainland China ? otherwise you would need China visas just for that one visit.

If you were not planning on visiting the Mainland you may be better off visiting Ocean Park or Disney in Hong Kong

Yes, we realized it was in Guangzhou, and know we need a visa..if we go over it'll be for a couple of days. Chimelong does look good on the website, but websites can be misleading...Wife is keen to take it at face value, me a little less so, unless we can find someone that has been and has good feedback. We've done Ocean Park before, and if I never set foot in Disney again it'll be too soon:lol:
