Banking in Macau

Hi,

I'm moving to Macau next month to live and work and would like some advice on banking. I have financial commitments back in the UK (namely debts to pay off) and these are automated from a bank account. I will need to transfer money from Macau to this UK bank account month to ensure these transactions can automatically continue. Can anyone advise on the following:

1) A bank to use in Macau that has 24 hour web access
2) How to transfer (and how much it will cost) money from Macau back to the UK.

I was about to open an international account but will be in the same situation with regards to transferring from Macau to the UK because this international account is a sterling account. Any advise from other peoples experiences will be very helpful.

Many Thanks.

I don't live in Macau. I live in Hong Kong. However, I would suggest HSBC. If you also have an HSBC account in UK then I understand (not 100% sure, please check) that there are no charges to transfer say GPB from your Macau account to your UK account.
