Any Brits in Shanghai?

Hi there!

I've just arrived in Shanghai a few days ago on a 2 year secondment! Busy looking for a place to live at the moment, but just wondering whether there are any Brits (or other) out here that would fancy meeting up or catching the football this weekend..?

Or any tips on places to go to make my starting entry into the expat community?!

Cheers,

Alex

Yes thanks :) Just through meeting people out and about, random connections, networking events, playing some 5-a-side football, etc.

Btw, recommend The Camel for watching football!

My 20yr old son may be coming out in Janurary for a modelling assignment. The agency is giving him 400RMB per week as an allowance....do you think that will be enough money for food/entertainment/transport?

Accommodation is paid for...

Glad you found some expats over there :)

Enough to survive if he lives a bit more of a "Chinese" lifestyle (i.e. not too many taxis, local restaurants).

Certainly not enough if he's hanging out with the expat crowd or wants to go to any bars, western restaurants, etc.
