I moved to mexico city in september from London. I really like it here but would love to get in touch with other brits/native english speakers. Is there a large British community here?

Hiya im patrick,ive just joined this site today,i live in mexico state and not far from the city,i go there alot.i dont know if theres a large brittish community here or not, well everytime ive walked about in the city all ive seen and heard is mexicans,lol.i moved over here last sep and travelled around abit before coming here in the city, im from south england not far from bournemouth.anyway if you wanna know anything let me know.

Hi,

I am a Brit and lived in Mexico City with my family for a couple of years.

There is a large English/Amercian community expat in DF. Contact "The Newcomers Club of Mexico City" (www.newcomers.org.mx) and "Britcom" (email: [email protected]).

Both are expat groups I used, to meet people, get out and about, etc. The Newcomers club is larger and more international - a large American contingent - and everyone speaks English. The Britcom group is, mainly, British, although not exclusively.

I'm sure you'll find someone to talk to/things to do with one or other of these organisations.
