Re: looking for advice for argentina
In a word: no.
From the website of the Consulado General,
http://www.clond.mrecic.gov.ar/en/node/2421
it is clear that they want the ACPO certificate
http://www.acro.police.uk/police_certificates.aspx
and the CRB check (now DBS check) is not the same
thing.
It is considered wise to provide the authorities with
exactly what is asked for - even then you may find
that in practice it's not enough. The good news is
that individual immigration officers often feel warmly
towards people who have married an Argentine
and want to live in Argentina and may go out of their
way to be helpful towards you. But don't count on it.
