Learning Spanish in Guetemala
Hi everyone!
I am looking at moving to Guatemala for a month or so at the beginning of next year to start learning Spanish. I would love to be somewhere where I can swim most days and a warm climate. So far I have been looking at monterrico as this seems to be one of the only cities on the coast line. Does anyone have any tips of schools or areas I should look for?
Thanks Michelle

Re: Learning Spanish in Guetemala
Hi Michelle
I did about 6 months of Spanish lessons in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala about 6 years ago and would definitely recommend it. It's at a high altitude so it doesn't get too hot it was about 21c and sunny most days when I was there. It's also probably the cheapest place for lessons and accommodation that I know of.
The area is stunning with volcanic mountains surrounding the large lake. Great for swimming.
Let me know if you want details on where I was staying and learning on the lake
Take care for now
