A friend of mine has a volunteer job lined up for April, for 2 months in San Marcos on Lake Atitlan. But she has just read that there are new restrictions because of the coronavirus. Can anybody tell me - please - whether the ban applies to EU citizens or to people entering from EU airports? She has been working here in Cayman (Caribbean) for six months.

I'd be very grateful for any help!

According to Reuters it's all European citizens.

Just to wind up this thread... My friend didn't go to Guatemala after all. Now, she's heading for Costa Rica - which nation, it appears, has no coronavirus obstacles. Remarkable, if true!
