Mechanic jobs

Is is possible to get mechanic jobs off islands?
my husband applied but hasn't heard anything !

A good proportion of the jobs advertised are to get a permit renewed for an existing employee. Unless a Caymanian applies for the job the company can argue to immigration they can not fill the job with a local and get the permit for the person already doing the job and already here. You will not hear back from many jobs for this reason.

as it turns out has now received a job offer woohoo with a garage.
