Graduate Accountant wanting to move to Grand Cayman
Hi everyone!
I am nearly graduated from the University of Liverpool in Accounting & Finance. I should graduate with 11 exemptions from the 15 professional ACA exams, and this is similar for other designations. My boyfriend has recently accepted an offer of employment in Grand Cayman and is due to start in May.
I have been looking for and applying for accounting related jobs but I have found it difficult so far. I know that junior roles are firstly reserved for Caymanians, due to the work permit that I would need.
I hope to get a bar job to gain a work permit initially, and then hopefully I will have better luck with an accounting related job once I'm over there.
If anybody has any advice or can point me in the right direction that would be absolutely fab.
Thank you,
nelly93

Nelly - your best bet would probably to register with one of the employment agencies here. Check "Resident Cayman" for their names. You never know your luck: one of them might have somebody in London looking for people.
