Child dependents in Cayman

Recently I've received a few questions (from this site and others) asking how many dependents a Work Permit employee can have in Cayman. The short answer is: it depends on the wage. Domestic workers are allowed none, office workers one (usually), more senior people two. You have to be really quite well paid to get more than two. My most recent email was from a teacher who was told she could not bring her two children AND her husband. That's about par for the course.

The choice wouldn't be so difficult if it was dog or husband.
