Work in St Lucia
Hi All,
My husband and I are having a villa built in St Lucia at the moment with the intention of renting it out for the next 3-4 years then emigrating out there. We are both mid 30s at the moment and will need to work when we get there. My husband is a design engineer for Aston Martin so I think will struggle to find any relevant work there, but we are hoping to maybe buy a small B&B for him to run. I am a Business Manager in the Motor Industry so again, not much work around in that field, although I have extensive experience in Customer Services (and call centre management although I don't suppose there are many call centres there!) I am looking at taking a qualification in hotel or hospitality management as I think working in a hotel will probably be the best thing, but want to know what qualifications they would recognise? I have found a distance learning college in America called the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute who offer a Hospitality Operations Certificate and a Hotel Management Diploma but want to check if worth taking. Any ideas will be welcome. We are forward planning a fair bit as can't move out until at least March 2012, but I figure that just gives us time to gain some suitable qualifications. Thanks, |
