Whats the daftest question you were ever asked?

I do agree that generally there are no daft questions only daft answers, but occasionally....

I was once asked

'I understand the island has a serious water shortage and that all the water is being shipped in, and delivered by tanker to all the homes, how much drinking water will i need to pack for a 2 week visit?'

This is on grenada, which has about 100k people, and hasnt had a real problem in the last decade, it rains most days in the high rainforest interior.

Or

'If i bring my own rifle, are there any restrictions on hunting game such as monkeys and deer?' [there are no deer...]

NB just to make sure, monkeys are a protected and much liked creature, you dont shoot them, you feed them...

Are all schools in England dirty dark victorian buildings? Someone in Aus asking me because presumably they'd seen the 1940 version of Oliver Twist.

It is alleged that some tourist once asked (here in Cayman), "If I learn to scuba-dive, will I be able to swim right underneath the whole Island?"

Asked on a phone interview for a midwifery job in NZ, "When did you last delight a patient?"

I used t ointerview lots of people in the nhs, one standard question was 'what stresses you out at work'. From the question, its obvious that 'i dont get stressed' is going to lose it, everyone is stressed by something, but the guy who said 'sick people, i really dont like dealing with illness...'

On a trip back to Blighty for a family 'do'. I was asked by a 14-year-old niece "Is America in Europe?"

Allot of people I meet (tourists) seem to assume that "locals" are somehow more used to the heat by virtue of being black.
