Schooling (again)

Hi everyone

I have been reading all the posts with great interest! My story briefly is:

My husband potentially is going to be offered employment and his company will apply for the visa accordingly should he be successful. We are a family of 4. Our girls will be 9 & 6. Private schools seem to be expensive and difficult to get into. Does anyone have their children in a state primary school? We would be on the west coast. My other question would be does the ministry allow home schooling? I have been on the ministries site but there is no information and what advice I have seen is confusing. Some say no and others say yes but you have to apply for permission.

I want to ensure I investigate all my options prior to us moving if this goes ahead. I also noticed that some have mentioned the work permits taking a long time, what is the average Legnth of time? This will help me to plan!

Thank you everyone.
