Moving to Bermuda/ shipping advice needed

Hi all,

I will be moving to Bermuda at the end of July. Does anyone know the best / cheapest way to ship things there from the UK? If so could you please recommend the names of any companies and briefly explain any pitfalls re Customs? What are the import duties and are there any exemptions?

Thanks

Tim

Just try the usual shipping companies, Pickfords etc.

It used to be the case that duty was payable when you moved over, on everything but clothes and books IIRC.

We brought our two cats over and we had to pay duty on them too, when we picked them up at the airport we were asked how old they were and then they depreciated them as well! :D

Sorry for the very long link, I don't know how to do that "click here" thing.
