Life in Grenada

After years of deliberation and information gathering about living in Barbados, we have now been been actively looking at Grenada as a less expensive option land and property wise.

We have never been to Grenada but plan a visit soon but would like to hear from anyone that lives there regarding the usual information.

Work permits, tax, vehicle prices, utility costs, best places to live, places to avoid, crime, food costs, fuel.

We may plan to purchase 2 properties, 1 to live in and 1 to rent so would appreciate any info on renting and I mean the work permit, tax implecations of this.

We don't need an area that is buzzing with nightlife but in the same sentence don't want to be a recluse unless it was the prettiest place on earth.

Everything I have read about Grenada gives it a very friendly, relaxed view but I need to hear from people that live there.

As tesco says 'every little helps'.
