Health Service for Expats

Hello everyone, my first time on this forum :-)

My parents want to retire overseas, possibly the Cayman Islands or the Caribbean. They are concerned about health care out there and wonder whether they will be forced to buy private medical care. Also, some of the Caribbean islands are part of the EU, Martinique for example. Is the health service there free to holders of the EU passport?

Thanks

Check with the country of interest's website. I would also check the UK government website for health to see what benefits you can get living in an EU nation.
