I have been dealing with a company and may be moving to Tortola, I will get an accomodation allowance of $2,000/month but that is based on me being there. I will probably be there with 2 small children so looking for a 3 bedroom place (we may have a step-son there or need a spare room).

If anyone has some links to real estate companies that would be great. Alternatively I'd appreciate it if someone knew roughly what a 3 bedroom place runs to (we'd want it furnished but it wouldn't need to be the lap of luxury). Details of areas to avoid would help too, thanks very much in advance for any help.

I haven't got it yet, the director phones me in a mad rush then I don't hear back for a month then he calls back in a rush.....

You don't know how expensive it is to live there then?

Hi! We lived in BVI from 2000-2002. Cost of living very similar to UK ie not cheap as virtually everything is imported. Many people get the ferry over to St Thomas, USVI to shop as it is cheaper! I would imagine, unless costs have changed significantly, that $2000 is a great accomodation allowance.
Main considerations would be education if you have school age children. Please do ask if you have any specific questions & I will do my best to answer.
