caribbean

hi, been reading about being a Carib National but anyone know if this applies to all the Caribbean islands for perks, you know buying cars, property etc, do you get perks from one island to another or is it just the island you hold a passport with, as we are not married I won't qualify for a Bajan passport but by descent I can get a Dominican passport, anyone think this would be beneficial????? MMMMMM

Well, as far as Barbados goes, holding a passport from Dominca will make no difference. There are very few restrictions on foreigners in Barbados, so even a bajan passport will not help. I beleive that non-Barbadians pay a higher transfer tax when selling their property. That is the only advantage I can think of. Many luxury villas are owned by offshore companies so you actually buy the company which owns the villa, and not the property itself.
