Bermuda - Question on Bermuda - Salary and Housing Allowance
Hi All,
I just got an offer from Bermuda, and would like to know if it is good or not.
Monthly Salary = $10,000
Monthly Housing Allowance = $5,000
and a good relocation package, some sign-on bonus.
I have a son in Grade 2 and my wife is a housekeeper. We visited the island last month and we loved it. I know the housing, food, car, ....are very expensive in Bermuda, but not sure if this offer can give us a decent life there. Any feedback? I really appreciate your inputs.
Thanks.

It is a decent package. You would in all probability use up your entire housing allowance on housing, and perhaps a bit more. But c$10k tax free to live on per month is comfortable.
We bought a brand new Nissan March when we arrived for $23k and sold it for $17k two years later when we left. I wouldn't normally drive a Nissan March but max speed is 30mph and the island is 20 miles long so it was fine.
