Ten years today
I don't really know what to say about it. It's fine really. Honest! though I never feel that I co poetry fit in but I doubt that I'd fit in anywhere.
Anyway, we're here and here we stay.
Oh and I'm retired now.

Re: Ten years today
When did that happen? I have a vague recollection of you hinting at it.
Did they give you a clock?

Can I ask why you chose to immigrate in your 50s (I'm assuming)? Seems like a lot of hassle at that point in your life and Brits in that age group who want to move abroad tend to choose Spain.

I just didn't think it was common for someone to live 50-plus years somewhere and then suddenly decide to jump through flaming administrative hoops to live out one's senior years in a cold climate an ocean away. Especially considering you had your pick of 20+ countries in which you were eligible to live.
I would think the points system makes it difficult for mature individuals to get in?

Happy decade Bats.
We still have our xrays from when we emigrated to NZ. Perhaps I have finally found a good use for them.
What do you know We're not all John Wyndham think inside the box y'know. Many of our vintage are free thinkers just like anyone else of any age. It is not so many that move to Spain and I am not sure why you would think that.
I emigrated to New Zealand. Why? Because we could .
