Not been around here much this year.

Work has been mental busy (which is awesome don't get me wrong but right now it seems to be in front of everything else )

We got some new additions to the menagerie in the way of two sheep, ones black and ones brown - they don't have names - they get called sheepertons when I feed them and that's it

As anyone in the sticks will tell you there's always a ton of stuff needing doing around the place, we've built a shop, finished fencing the property and other fun stuff.

My oldest daughter had a baby boy so I'm now a granny (he's effing gorgeous btw) and I flew back to the UK a couple weeks ago for a visit, didn't drive over there couldn't get my head around the whole "other side of the road" which is weird.

Me and Mr MMC have now been together 5 years and married for 3 1/2 - where the hell does time go hey!

I finally got my pr and card and life on the whole is pretty darn good. It feels so good to be earning my own money too.

Mr MMC still hunts and bagged his deer last week - on my one day off I tagged along and now remember why I have taken a back seat in this hunting malarchy - it's cold / exhausting / dirty but I still love him as much as I did when we first got together

No point really for the thread - just an update but if someone had told me 6 years ago that this is what my life would be like right now, I'd have laughed my ass off.

Thanks all.

I think I'm working harder now than in any other time in my life, and it really does go to show that the harder the work the better the rewards.

I kinda feel bad because a lot of my energy isn't focused on being a 'wife' if that makes sense - so I really have to take stock of who the most important people in my life are. But I suppose when any business is new it's a learning curve between taking on too much in an effort to get yorself out there and leaving enough time for family.

I'll get there - believe it or not I really am a pushover so if anyone asks if I can do anything I'll always say yes - even when theres not wnough time in the day. Mr MMC is as always, awesome and supportive even when he comes back from the rigs and I look like a bag of crap in coveralls and covered in paint instead of being the archetypal 1950's wife looking and smelling gorgeous with his supper ready on the table (thats not happened for a while lol)
