Hwyl Lorna... great to see how well you settled in. As for winterising... have you considered a wood-burning stove or pellet stove? x

Re: It's my 1st Canniversary
Thanks again for all your good wishes.
The winterising is coming alone well. We have our water line 8 feet down, the furnace has been purchased and is sitting in my living room :curse:, the furnace/boiler room has nearly been built under the house and the heating vents and registers in place ready for hook up. Only draw back, there is so much new build happening in Regina and surround there are not enough contractors to do the work. Mal has done all the work himself (I'm lucky he can turn his hand to everything) exept for digging the holes we had a nice man and a trackhoe.
Drawback, our gas will not be fitted for up to 6 weeks, definately before November I was told. Doug I said, you're probably a very nice man but pull your finger out please or I'll be renting your basement. In true Canadian style he said OK
Mmmm as for a pint of Brains, I may need that to put more hair on my chest to keep me warm

Well, I arrived in Toronto one year today, changed planes for Calgary, changed again for Saskatoon and landed at 11:15pm after a long and tiring journey from Ynyshir in Wales.
I love Canada, specifically Saskatchewan.
I've just got a work permit, but no job :curse:
I sent our paperwork of to Buffalo this morning on the second leg of our journey that is called Permanent Residency.
We've bought our own bit of Saskatchewan that needs to be winterised and is taking longer than we thought due to the housing boom in Regina and the contractors being "busy" man.
I've bought a gas guzzling truck. We have our old van parked in the yard, all it needs now is a blue tarp over it and we'll look just like our neighbours.
All is right with the world.
