We've been here a year!

We landed on 29th November 2007, 3 years after putting in our permanent residency application and now we've lived here for a whole year!

We've bought a car, both got jobs, bought a house and furnished it, bought a dog, welcomed our first guests from the UK and this weekend we cut down our first Canadian Christmas tree! Seems to be going remarkably well!

I do miss my friends from back "home" but have made new ones over here and have always been independent anyway. My parents both passed away 10 - 11 years ago but I'm sure they would have been proud of what we have achieved and I know that although my husbands parents miss us they can see that it was a better move for us.

So here's to year one under our belt and we look forward to the challenges of year two!
