Arrived 26th May 1963

I thank you for giving me your photos of Alberta. I alternate them on my desk top ( I think that is the correct term. I could be wrong.)

For Novo and others; on August 1st. I will have been here for 56 yrs. Most have been good, others not so much, but would have happened regardless of where I had been. I have enjoyed being in Canada; it has been good for me though originally I had thought that I would return to the UK when I retired. Unfortunately this has not been possible. That being said, I have no regrets

Well yes. Life is life wherever. I don't think I realized that you'd been here quite that long. You have the record so far.

I'm wondering why a return on retirement wasn't possible, although, clearly it's none of my business. When I do leave upon retirement I'll also have no regrets (never do), and I won't be turning the clock back either.

Onwards to new adventures.
