5 years

It will be 5 years ago this coming Sunday the 14th of August since we landed at Lester Pearson on a particularly miserable wet morning.

We gained citizenship this January and our Canuck passports are winging their way through the post to us as I type.

Just renewed my drivers licence for the first time and various other documents that have come due.

Voted in our first Canadian elections.

Have a mortgage, RRSP's, Pensions, RESP, Credit cards out the waazoo (all paid off) and a bank that wants to give us $55000 in credit (get stuffed!).

Brought another Canuck into the world with the birth of our daughter 16 weeks ago.

Still infuriated by the price of cheese!

Good luck and best wishes to all.

As Iaink says there's more to life than cheese !
I mean what about the lousy bacon and the baked beans ! Surly that must have had a major disruptive impact on you life ! It's not all expensive wine and roses you know. ;)

Seriously though, congratulations and best wishes for many more happy years.

Cheers both of you.

You do know I was being sarcastic with regards to the cheese?

It's the lack of Marmite that really makes living here unbearable!!

Once again. Thanks to all.

Canuck passports came through on Friday so we'll be using them to get back to the UK this September for a holiday. I shall look forward to going through the Canadian line at Lester Pearson on the way back. :)

Steve - Still don't miss the instant gravy you drink.
