Oh, I guess that was misleading, 14 weeks with one employer, 4 years, maybe, with the second. Since then I've done odd jobs paid by the hour but haven't been on anyone's payroll.

40 years ago, I2C was 1.

I assume I pre-date those labels and, anyway, they don't really apply to non-Americans. My common ground is with other people who came with nothing, learned from Tom Vu, and went from there.

Oh, no, I expect to make some sort of move when the work here dries up. We'll see, contracting is unstable employment and could end at any moment.

Will you retire here, or move back to bliighty for your latter years? What about your horses?

I don't think there's any point in having a plan:

1. I think we likely have another year of covid restrictions. If it wasn't for the first year of them I expect I'd be living somewhere else now.

2. There's always the need to generate fifty grand a year in alimony, that means going, or staying, where the work is.

For the moment, finishing the upgrades to this property is enough to think about. The fence guy will be along this week to make another jaw dropping quote.

I'd agree with that statement... I don't think anyone would blame you for trying though.... 4 times. .
I can't even blame it on a wife or kids! just circumstances, more unstable employment. But domestic stability is the key

Anyway congratulations/commiserations.

Well congratulations indeed. The majority of your life spent in Canada, that is something to think about.

Thanks. I've outlasted plenty of people, though not deliberately.
