So have you now spent more of your life in Canada than you have in the UK?

Just recently celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary, I didn't forget the date.

I also know what date I arrived in Canada 46 years ago, watch next month.

Hell, I can't even remember exactly when Souvette and I got married and it was only a few months ago.

In the sense of being legally resident, yes. In terms of actual days I'm not sure, I spent great chunks of the 80s and 90s outside Canada so I've probably still slept more nights in the UK than anywhere else. It's true that I've been gone long enough not to belong there any more than I do here.

Summer, pah, it's been so long I've forgotten what summer's like.

The OH has been commuting past Newmarket, she brings jerk chicken and curried goat from there so we get the flavour of a warm place even if we're living in the tundra.

Is that an indirect reference to "A Pain in the Arse"?

A Taste of something, The Islands, maybe. It's all a bit mild compared to the Real Jerk but welcome nonetheless.
