Not really no. US and Canada are similiar but different enough that you can feel your in a different country. At this point I am almost certain the disconnect wont ever go away, some people adapt better to a new country than others do, such is life. I also never had any desire or thought of ever living in a different country, just kind of happened as I met a Canadian, but moving to a new country was never really on my radar, the only country that ever really interested me was Australia, but of course that was never a realistic option. lol

I too am late...but congratulations from me also Bristol...maybe my post might remind you that a weekend in Fredericton as a change of scene might be a good thing to look forward to through this, hopefully short, visit on the journey towards Spring!

We are in pretty much the same place...we want to move in three years but don’t know where.

Downsizing and simplifying seem like a good option and would probably energize you too.

I just realised I did something similar...ish.

I always thought it funny that I holidayed in New Brunswick back in 1975 and then ended up back here. But it was 2005 when I moved to NB.

A nice round 30 years. Albeit not quite to the day.
