I get these emails sent to me daily from the site mentioned below. This is a subscription site and mine has expired so I cant give any more details as to who the recruiter/company is.

However they are usually advertised in numerous places so if you persevere and do creative googling you'll prob find it listed elsewhere just thought it might be of interest to someone.. you never know.

LOCATION: Canada
TITLE: ADMINISTRATIVE & TECHNICAL ASSISTANT
DESCRIPTION: Our client had a vacancy for an Administrative & Technical Assistant based in Calgary, Alberta.

As Administrative & Technical Assistant your main responsibilities will be to:
* Provide secretarial support to Area Construction Manager and group members
* Provide assistance for Procurement group as needed
* Carry out "department-wide" administrative assignments, e.g., usually on a rotational basis
* Recruiting Program
* Training, e.g., Expense Account Support
* May also assist in compiling & assembling the reporting and stewardship activities to internal and external stakeholders
* Serve as liaison to organize newcomers/visitors site permits
* Maintain vacation records
* Carry out administration tasks, such as:
* Assist with meeting arrangements
* Make travel bookings, conference arrangements, and events arrangements
* Prepare and submit expense accounts
* Prepare letters, memos, presentations, faxes
* Perform clerical and general office duties, word processing, record and files maintenance, mail distribution, and telephone reception
* Coordinate vacations and absences with Project Administrative Assistants
* Update Staff Database and Directory with group changes, as needed
* Process and maintain files for calling card, wireless, and pager orders
* Prepare and submit business card/stationary orders for group members
* Provide support, as required, to aide the Area Construction group to interface with surrounding communities, including all aboriginal and metis locals.
* Actively participate in regional community events
* Work with the local community to help explain various initiatives
* Actively discuss concerns within the various communities
* Increase overall project awareness of local issues
* Assist in the preparation of responses to information requests from stakeholders
* Provide assistance with the public consultation process and interfaces with key stakeholders
* Work with public affairs/others to develop external communications
* All other associated tasks as assigned
* Perform calculations and basic analysis and present data; provide high degree of understanding of data sources
* Implement process improvements where necessary
* Possess a wide range of software and multi-platform knowledge
* Build or enhance basic data analysis tools (spreadsheets, databases)
* Coordinate and help produce presentation packages

Qualifications and experience required:
* Extensive knowledge of e-mail systems
* Good math and computer skills
* Sets and achieves high standards; adaptable to changing priorities
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Extensive knowledge of word processing and data management systems, e.g., Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
* Knowledge of Microsoft Access
* Experience making travel arrangements and willingness to achieve expert level knowledge of expense reporting and other administrative systems
* Willing to locate/relocate to required project site (camp based)

This is a long-term contract position.

The salary for this position is negotiable.
