Any maintenance mechanics/industrial electricians looking for work in Calgary?

The company my husband works for is looking to recruit an industrial electrician or maintenance mechanic/millwright at their plant in SE Calgary. They won't be able to provide an lmo so if you already have PR or a work permit and are interested, please pm me. Thanks!

It's a shame that this is a little too early for me as we're only in the early stages of applying for my pr (via a spousal sponsorship through my wife)

Who does he work for? as it sounds like they're open to employing immigrants, something that isn't always that common.

Hi mark,

As long as you have your pr they seem to like the work ethic of the Brits. Spousal sponsorship if I remember from a friend that did it, is much quicker than regular pr applications, so once you have a better idea of when you arrive please get in contact. There are 4 sites in Canada and 7 in the us and they are looking to expand more so are always looking for good people. The company is ice river springs, a water bottling company. My husband had a telephone interview before we landed and 2 days after we arrived a no site interview and was hired on the spot. Please let us know how you get on with your application and get in touch later, you never know!

Good luck!

Thanks Jane, I surely will.
It's good to know that we're valued rather than, as has happened here, 'all' immigrants are considered here to be cheap labour and 'stealing all the jobs'

When I have a more definite timeline I'll be in touch.

Have a great 2015,

Kind regards,
Mark
