worried

Hi all.

Just wondering if there's anyone out there who's applied thru London
that received their pink card in November 2001 or later who HASN'T
been notified of their interview date or had their interview yet?

We got our pink card last November and haven't heard ANYTHING since
then...and after reading all the "got it"s and "interview soon"
messages from you all, am really starting to wonder if something's
gone amiss with our application.

I'm referring to independant or business applications, not family
class.

Anyone else out there in this boat? I'd feel very relieved to know
I'm not the only one.

thanks again

Hi my friend,
its really sad to hear that still you didn't get your interview after receiving pink card in november, 01. I was applied at london on august last year and got my pink card nov. 6. After then they called me
for an interview on the 2nd of april and the same time i got the medicals form which was done by the 5th of april. later the 20 of august they sent me another letter in requesting to pay the RPRF, then -------no news since long ! waiting waiting-------! your matter i really don't know why they're making such delaying but the mean time i heard that london just got a long queue because of the implementation of new law of immigration and still they couldn't able tocall for interview for the last year applicants where some are started in getting the papers recently. you see, after getting medicals it normally takes 3-5 months for getting visa , even the immigration officer told me that they are not going to take more than 5 months to issue my visa finally , but now i can see its 8 months going on--- ! by the way, where are you applied from ? note that i applied from denmark. may be it varies country to country , but i'm not sure about that. i think they mentioned the approx. timeline for interview in your pink card, like 12 to 15 months will take place after that time. so, no need to be worried my friend cause your timeline didn't exceed yet. wish you will get the decision soon. GOOD LUCK !!
with thanks

Hi all,

First of all I`m sorry to hear how painfully slow London are, it`s not giving me much confidence.
I`m about to start from scratch at Christmas time, my girlfriend is sponsoring me as her conjugal partner.
This new catagory seems to have people in a frenzy as I haven`t seen anyone that has successfully passed it.
I`m just asking how you found London High Commission, were they helpful? I`ve heard many stories and nghtmares about trouble trying to enquire. I`ve heard that the independent catagory is a lot slower than the family one but then again it appears they`re so backlogged:confused:
It`s an anxious time for all:( :(
Best of luck to you both.

Regards,
Rob.

We applied in September 2001, asked for medicals in May 2002 & paid ROLF in August 2002. Since then, nothing.

As for contacting London, forget it. They're like the bloody secret service !

hi my friend
it seems that you & me are staying the same boat. so, nothing for us, just to see when they wake up---- waiting waiting ! now I'm really fed up to see their dam slow activities. by the way, did you check your online status ? if so, then what they mentioned about your case. i checked of mine but got some confusing information's , even they didn't updated my new address for corresponding , further the medical reports and the RPRF nothing about this matter. please, let me know if you get details in your E-status checking. i have one thing to know from you. you know last month i moved in sweden from denmark but my total procedure has completed in denmark, even the RPRF was paid from denmark. In this situation, i informed the CHC, London to make further correspondence with one of my friend's address in denmark. Do you think it could make any problem not to give them the address in sweden. still i couldn't arrange a permanent place in sweden and thats why i gave them the address of my friend, just to make sure not to miss any letter from their end. please feel free to make your friendly opinion.
with thanks
rafiq

Re: worried

thanks for your reply. I can't believe you got your interview so bloody fast...and now you are still waiting. Have you sent in a note to ask what is taking so long or gotten your caips so you can see your BF date? I'd be freaking out by now if I'd done my interview in April and was still waiting for permission to enter the country. How do they expect people to plan their lives for pete's sake. Best of luck for you, I hope it happens for you soon.

Hi there, I'm sorry I don't know how to answer your question.... mostly because I have never contacted London directly so have no idea if they are any help or not. I'm too paranoid to contact them directly until after the timeline they said to not bug them in (ie, you will be interviewed in 12-15 months, don't bug us for status requests until then or we'll slow down your application). So, best of luck to you, and you are right, family class is supposed to be faster than independant. We're in the Self-Employed category which is supposed to be slower than family but faster than independant but I see no evidence that ours is going any faster than every other skilled worker out there. take care

I do not know about what problems might arise by giving different address in Denmark. But just so you know I am in Canada, and it's my bf who is immigrating from South Africa...he is using MY mailing address for his application and so far we've had no troubles with that.

You say you are in the same boat as us, well, what date did London receive your file and what date was on your pink card and how long did it say you'd have to wait for your interview and how long have you now been waiting?

Good luck and thanks for replying to my plea.

hi iancurtis, how's doing !
have you heard anything about your visa? Did they request you to send your passport ? or still waiting, like me. Please let me inform when you get something from CHC, London. By the way, did you check your online status ? if so, then what they said about your case ? you know i checked of mine but got some very confusing information. so, i'm really worried about that you know i notified them about changing my address last month but the updated information telling me that they sent me one letter on april to my newly provided address and it was the decision of my application. I don't know how come its possible even though i didn't get any letter that was issued by the april. After interview and medical which was completed on april, i got only one letter in august regarding the RPRF to be paid and then nothing more. Did you get any letter after your interview or medical that was the decision about your application. please , clarify me with the information's you got.

Looking forward to hearing you soon, my friend.
God bless yours'
with thanks
rafiq
