Work in Mississauga Live in ???

Right near the airport.

Looking at Guelph and Milton for settling at the moment. Two young children under 5 so looking at family friendly areas.

Any other suggestions.
Cheers.

Personally I'd rather gouge my eyes out with a rusty spoon.

Milton is well located for travel into Mississauga. Regardless of whether you work at the north or south of Mississauga you have a number of backroad options. Winter driving on the back roads can be a little scary. I find I am more nervous then I used to be, but I have four kids instead of two. If you can stay off of the 401 you should be able to limit your commuting time to a reasonable amount. Guelph I think is too far away, Cambridge would be an easier commute to Mississauga than Guelph.

Brampton is close. My parents live 20 minutes drive from the airport (handy for picking up visitors) and still a nice suburban area. There is a sign at the airport that shows all the major highway signs and says "All roads lead to Brampton".

I'd avoid Malton and North Etobicoke personally (apologies for anyone who lives there).

Depending on where you work, I wouldn't live in Brampton. It could be a bit of a traffic situation for you. I wouldn't live in Brampton anyway and good advice was given to avoid N. Etobicoke and Malton.
