Well done girl!!! Is there absolutely no way he can back out now? Fingers crossed! I hope all goes smoothly for everything else. When are you planning to leave?

Congrats, its a huge relief isn't it?! Mind you after 12 mths and 3 abortive sales my buyers ended up exchanging AND completing on the same day so I was on tenterhooks right up until the end which trust me was worse!

Don't make me worry Corky! Yes, I suppose technically he can pull out of the contract but it is a legal document blah blah so I just have to assume it's as final as it's going to get (until we complete) and go with it! He's supposed to be homeless as of the 18th, so let's hope he doesn't mess us around anymore!!

Not sure yet when we will be in NS - probably January - Richard still has to give notice at work (today or tomorrow) and that's a month, so we think we'll go off on a little holiday after his notice is finished (staying at in-laws for the two weeks we have no house but Richard has to work) and then spend Xmas with family here before heading to NS in January. Tis very exciting!!

Ohmygod! Yes, that sounds stressful - it's what our buyer wanted to do originally!! Glad you survived it anyhow!!

I used to live in St John's when I was a kid but haven't been there for years. My mom is from NFLD (Gambo, birthplace of Joey Smallwood, dontcha know?) and we also used to live in Bishop's Falls (sorry, don't know who was born there!). Dragged hubbie to Gros Morne last year - he loved NFLD just not the ferry!! How are you liking it?

Mmm, could really go for some NFLD candy now, the pink stuff, Purity I think it's called. Oh yummie. My nan always had it around. Sorry, going down memory lane here... !!

Hey Michelle - any news? Have you exchanged yet? You must be sooo stressed!! How'd the packing go?

Fingers crossed for everyone selling!!

Congratulations -that must be such a relief. Just wish we could get to that stage too! Apparently our buyer's buyers will be signing and exchanging at the beginning of the week - I think we've heard this before, but with completion due on 30th November how much longer can it go on!.
As predicted, the stresses have finally made me succumb to the cold that I have been trying to hold off for a couple of weeks. Feeling awful, just what we needed.
Here's hoping again for a week of contract exchanges Maple.

Hello to my fellow soon -to-be bluenosers,

No news yet - hoping to hear some good news this week......when I do get THE call I dare say you'll hear the screams of relief ( think Harry met Sally -but with more emotion!)

Are you both planning on landing in St Johns - and if so are you on the flight with the 90minute stop - and do you think it may be cutting it fine to clear immigration?
Michelle

Re: Wooooooooooo hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're all snotty here as well (sorry tmi!) and trying to get things done when you have an ill 21-month-old clinging to you is a bit difficult!!

Haven't booked our tickets yet so don't know what flight we will be on. 90 minutes does sound tight if you have to land and do your goods to follow stuff - maybe if they know you have to get on the flight they move a bit faster?! I think other people have done it without problems, but surely it depends on how many people have to be cleared? When are you guys flying? I'll make sure we aren't on the same flight hehe - no more than one family landing per plane please!

No specific dates yet but we'll be the ones body surfing over the top of the other passengers when we land St Johns.....so watch out for low flying children........oh and we'll have the stressed out dog in the hold.......
Hope you get rid of the cold soon - not nice trying do stuff with sickly kiddies..
