NS is also a great example of that. People who live there experience nice weather (mostly) while others seem to "know" something quite different.

Certainly in this thread I was referring to Windsor ;)

I haven't been to NS yet, although I've heard very mixed reviews, I've learned nothing should deter you from going and finding out for yourself if you are able. Obviously it's not always that easy, granted.

We have loved Vancouver Island, but as many people point out, 'BC' stands for bring cash!

Have you heard about the planned high speed rail link between Windsor and Toronto?

I'm not sure it's altogether a good idea, but it might invigorate the Windsor economy and inflate house prices a bit.

They estimate 13 years to get to Windsor which knowing the way government works it would end up being a minimum of 20 years if at all.

Years ago, I knew people who lived between London and Chatham and their neighbour commuted daily to Toronto airport area and he stayed in the London/Chatham area as he had family there and liked the open setting. Needless to say he spent 2 + hours at least each way driving to work and in all sorts of weather. I think he left work at about 4:30 am and was back home by about 7:30 or so, just in time to have dinner and go to sleep to start all over again. It takes all sorts.
