Why leave the UK for Canada?

Less petty crime, less day to day stress, 4 very different seasons, more bang for my property buck, less pressure on my kids to be anything but kids.

YMMV...

I expect to find that the world is round and there is life beyond Ireland

How will it improve your life of you and your family?

My detached house, hot looooong summers, Caribbean holidays and cruises, many boys toys, and expendable income is the way i have improved my life for me and my family

Dumb checkout systems that can be exploited in supermarkets. The Canadians haven't smartened up like Tesco and Sainsburys yet

Other than that, better life I guess

Answer to your two questions......No idea

I did it mostly for adventure which then made me look at the definition of adventure..............often defined as an exciting or unusual experience; it may also be a bold, usually risky undertaking, with an uncertain outcome.
The term also broadly refers to any enterprise that is potentially fraught with physical, financial or psychological risk, such as a business venture, a love affair, or other major life undertakings.
Adventurous experiences create psychological and physiological arousal.

seems about right to me...........

Hm, we have a slightly bigger house. Much bigger gardens. Bigger cars. No mortgage. No job security. No medical benefits. No job related pensions. No real vacations. It hasn't improved it, just different shit and different fun.
