Why is Indian food so bad in Toronto?

Re: Why is Indian food so bad in Toronto?
Tried most curry house's in NS, got fed up of wasting good money on unexciting bland food.
Best curry place hands down is in my own home, the wife's curry, self taught and made from scratch not a jar in sight, from vegetable korma to chicken tikka masala, best homemade onion bhaji's this side of the pond and even that creamy minty sauce, Tandoori Chicken went down really smooth tonight, all washed down with a cold one
Helps being married to a chef

Yes, clearly I will have to emulate your "humour" as you like to call it and then typically finish with or because that in itself makes it hilarious

This article was linked on Facebook by a friend and I immediately thought of this thread... The top 30 Indian restaurants in Toronto by neighbourhood
I tried Bukhara Grill in Bloor West Village expecting the usual bland offering but the Chicken Bhoona and Jalfrezi are the closest I've had to a Brit style Indian in Toronto (I asked for medium spicy). Really not bad at all
If any other west enders want to report back I'd be very happy to have BG survive rather than the likes of Pukka et al.

Looks good but I'd of added some finely chopped cilantro/coriander leaves to the marinade.

Just found this channel on YouTube. It has British Indian restaurant recipes to try at home.
