Whites Removals

Hi all, has anyone used whites removals? Their quote seems pretty good but we don't really know what the service is like.

Used them, couple of breaks at this end, claimed and paid. No problems.

We used them, no problems - one breakage and they paid without problems. Our stuff did take 2 weeks longer than they thought due to train problems in Canada. I would use them again. Sam

We used them 2 years ago. Excellant service both in the UK and with their partnering company here in NS.

No breakages and the guys went above and beyond here and set up 3 queens beds which had just been delivered by Sears.

We used them, no breakages, no problems, they had great staff in the UK, the people they used in Calgary were equally as good. We would recommend them.

I have used this company numerous times all round the world, I would say they are the most common used ones in the Army.

I personally had a bad experience with them. Huge list of breakages (mostly down to the fact they didnt pack things properly - they really rushed the job) and sadly we fought for nearly a year to get a proper settlement. They appointed a long chain of loss/claims adjusters in different countries which served to make the process of claiming for our loss absurdely complicated and their appointed agents fought ruthlessly with us for months to try and avoid paying in full. In the end I think we got about 70% of the value of our claim (even though we took out their additional insurance at a cost of about 700 pounds) but in the end we had to give up and agree to it - we couldnt spend any more time on it.

Yes we used them. They quoted three days, with three men, to pack us. As we lived at the end of a very narrow lane they parked their large lorry on the main road and ferried the boxes down to it in a transit van so there was a lot of double handling. We told them that three men and three days was not realistic and we were proved right. On the last day the man in charge rang the office to complain, that they were worn out, that they could not possibly get it all done on time. Result was the office sent just about every gang that was then free to help. We had men coming out of the wood work, things got packed that shouldnt have been packed and things got left behind. Not a lot of breakages though which is something.

We were promised that our belongings would arrive in Calgary the week we were due to take possession of our new house. On the second day after we arrived we got a call from the local office who told us our stuff had only just left the UK so we were left sitting on picnic table and chairs that family loaned us. Possessions finally arrived about 3 weeks late! :)
