Whistler/Blackcomb
New Whistler to Blackcomb peak to peak gondola.
Joining these 2 together is such a great idea. Not too sure about the 415meter ride over Fitzsimmons Creek though  http://ww1.whistlerblackcomb.com/p2pg/home.html |
Re: Whistler/Blackcomb
Hhhmmm, is it really a great idea? What will it gain us? For anyone who really wants to ski both mountains in one day it is really not so much of a hassle to ski to the village and upload the other gondola.
I guess it will be good for sight seeing, but not sure what else? Wouldnt the money be better invested in more grooming, or more subsidised employees housing, or more adaptive facilities................ It will cost extra to ride, even for pass holders, than a regular lift ticket i believe. Am not sure i see the need, other than for the bragging/marketing rights it will give the resort. |
Re: Whistler/Blackcomb
Having read this weeks Whistler Question (local rag) on the net it's more about being able to keep peeps up the mountain where the snow is when global warming really kicks in!
Not that they would have needed it this year with over 42 foot of accumulative snow fall and a season that's been extended to June 3rd! Can almost guarantee it'll be raining all season when we eventually get the next year - fingers crossed. Zoe M. xx |
