Where in the UK?
 

There always seem to be lots of polls on which province in Canada people are moving to but never anything about where people come from in the UK. So where in the UK are you moving from?

I've lived in 6/12 of those places listed (mainly due to an unusual, non-military, career). I know you titled the poll "Which region of the UK do you live in?" but I'm wondering if others, like me, moved about a bit before moving abroad. Or even moved abroad elsewhere, before settling in Canada.

It might be that a lot of us just have a propensity for relocation??

This is aways a difficult one for me.
We come from Bournemouth and if you look at a map of the UK, Bournemouth is right at the bottom on the south coast, but is smack in the middle.

I have never know whether to refer to it as SE or SW.

The other thing that used to confuse me was when Michael Fish would tell us that there would be a south west divide in the weather.:confused::confused:

A tiny village, West Herrington, between Sunderland and Durham, surrounded by fields and horses. I was only in Seaham till my twenties.

Rotherham near Sheffield - South Yorkshire for now, hoping to make the move later this year or next to Alberta or Ontario, depends on the work situation!

I moved from the Home Counties - so not the South East, not Greater London so wasn't sure what to tick - Just woken up so may be being a bit blond at the mo':rofl:

I always thought the North West was great. Slap bang in the middle so travelling around the UK was so much easy. :)

Its a good point though - not that anywhere is necessarily crap but I wondered if there were parts of the UK where people were more prone to leave than others

Nottingham as child then 12 years in the Army moving all over the place then Inham Nook, Bolsover, Mansfield, Kirkby in Ashfield, moved South to Woking (Surrey) then Fredericton NB, Canada :D

So I marked up East Midlands as that was the predominant place of residence.
