Where is 'Silicon Valley' in Canada?

I've worked for many years in hi-tech marketing in the US. Have not had many problems find a job here. Heading north. Got 2 questions:

1. Where in Canada there is higher concentration of telecom/IT firms?

2. Given there is a smaller and slower job market there, what will I need to do DIFFERENTLY in my job search besides obviously I need to be a bit aggressive and more creative? Where to find more leads? What to say/not to say on my resume or in interviews, as I heard that locals tend to be less intense and some may have less than positive perception of people from the US?

Thanks.

They have a less than positive perception of anyone from outside Canada, no matter where they're from and agression/intensity scares the crap out of Canadians ....
