Where do we exchange our European driving licences for Quebec ones?

Hi there
It may seem like a silly question but where do we need to go to exchange our driving licences from UK / French ones to Quebec ones? Is it also in Montreal like the health cover? It doesn't say on the SAAQ website or anywhere else that I have found...

Thanks

You were not looking very hard. It took me ten seconds to find this.

10 whole seconds??? It took me only about 3 to find that site ;-) But it just gives a number to call in order to discuss a myriad of bits of paperwork & make an appointment unless I have missed something....and as I am currently in France on a UK iPhone, I thought it 'cheaper' to ask wise & savvy expats such as yourself.

It used to be that you could wander down to a main SAAQ office and get it done there while you wait (at least when I did it in 2001)

These days you have to phone up and get an appointment for an interview before they'll do it.

I'm hardly savvy on this issue. I don't drive.

Thanks for that. Would the interview have to be in Montreal? We are going to be based just outside of Ottawa....it seems we have to go to Montreal to get health cover sorted too.
