Where in Canada?

Hi,

Very new to all this so bear with me!

Me and fiance and our baby are looking to emigrate to Canada, other half travelled there and loved it, we have just had a baby and this has made us search for a better quality of life which we believe Canada could give us. :D

With that in mind where do you think is a great place to bring up children? Somewhere obviously safe, good schools, lots to do etc...

We are doing our own research too but becoming so confused with it all, thought some of you lovely people would be able to point us in the right direction! Also I am a primary school teacher and fiance is a plumber, do we have a good chance of even getting to Canada?

Thanks guys xx

Re: Where in Canada?

hi

Well I am orginally from Ont, so am partial to that.
You will get the good, the bad and the ugly any where, I would suggest a small home town....avoid the cities if you want quality of life, now someone may disagree, I am a country girl, and lived on farm my whole life, and I can't wait to get back to it.

Do lots of research and take a couple trips over, Canada is a huge country with lots of excellent prospects for a young couple getting started.

I'm sure whatever you pick, you will love it

Hello. Your spouse is a plumber and is on the LIST of occupations which they are so called fast tracking. It would be a good idea to find out areas where plumbers are in great demand, also where you would like to live - East Coast, West Coast etc. At the same time look at the Skilled Worker section on www.cic.gc.ca and check that you score the points.

Your spouse from what I understand may have a Canadian course or exam to pass to ensure that he can work out there--regulated work maybe ?

The Wiki gives you a lot of info, and again fire in the questions and we will all try to help you out as much as we can. Try to search as well for threads regarding specific questions. A search for plumber may unlock many good answers for you.

Good luck

JET:)
