You don't need to be a maths genius to see that even if you're on $60,000 NET pay, you may get some assistance with drugs costs if they are above $2,000 a year.

My challenge will be getting Trillium to fund one of the 2 meds my doc is thinking of prescribing, as neither are on Trillium's formulary, so I'd be going the exceptional access route.
Anyway, we've gone somewhat off-topic :o

Yes, that is a different kettle of fish. My wife needed one for her $7k infusion every 6 weeks. Good luck.

I don't really miss back home except when the economy is >snip< (which is right now).

What I do get though, is about every 3 years or so I'm dying to go back for a few weeks to stuff myself with curry, fish and chips, rolls n bacon etc.

I do miss the comfort foods from back home that I grew up with.

Great post! Everytime one of us goes back the return suitcase is almost overweight with crisps and chocolate etc.

We are making a trip in July and one daughter's Canadian bf is also coming. She's already lined up to take him to the workers' cafe at the bottom of the road where we used to live for a breakfast!

Once you get through the first few weeks and get a job, it never kicks in
