High maintenance 'strange' women!
Mostly the other Mum's are a nice bunch, but occasionally you meet the odd 'strange' woman....I'll give you an example, I came out of work and a woman drove alongside me as I was walking to my car to ask me...'can I follow you and park in your space?'...no problem there, pretty normal, but then when I got to my car another car pulled alongside aiming to park before I'd even got in my car...to which the first woman beeped, wound her window down and shouted to me..."excuse me, but will you tell that woman I'm parking in your spot"....when I suggested, politely, she could do this herself, she replied..."I'm sorry, are you asking me to get out of my car?" Last week whilst having lunch with my son, another High Maintenance, yet strange, breed of Canadian woman, asked if I would "go and fetch her some napkins". When I enquired why she was not able to do this herself, she huffed and got out of her seat and said (she was quite agitated) "It's not difficult, I only asked you to get me some napkins, I've had a busy day!" Now, the positive thing is, on average I only have these 'odd' encounters with this strange breed of Canadian women on average once every couple of months, the rest seem pretty 'norm'. However, when I do, I'm gobsmacked by the sheer tartness and arrogance. |

I understand more than you realize. It's not isolated and yes those were illegal sales. They saw that there was a demand for Leffe at a cheaper price and they got a EU source. Obviously they were also a fan and got fed up with the crazy prices with meager profits. There were also people constantly buying some Spanish beer by the case but I wasn't interested. I also know people that have basement distilleries as well as brew their own beer in Canada because they are fed up with paying much. You clearly know more about beer politics... all I know is that I payed less in Canada to get drunk and that's all that matters to the average consumer, value

Alternatively, the problem with Ontario is that you have to drag to a government department to get a bottle of wine, you can't just pick it up in the same shop as the rest of dinner.

If you live far enough away from an LCBO or Beer Store outlet in Ontario, then the owner of a corner store can sell beer and wine....I think it is a 15 km separation distance.

Yes, there's a store like that near us but they only stock a subset of LCBO items. The people where the OH leased a horse when we lived in Toronto had a means of getting non-LCBO listed products but it was complicated, something about pretending to own a restaurant.
I assume that in the beer section they have Blue, Ex, Canadian, Molson Dry, Coors Light, and other assorted examples of flatulence inducing beverages. |

You clearly have no idea about what your talking about
Your comparing the selection of Beer in available in London UK with Ontario Canada And saying ON Canada is better LCBO price list http://www.lcbotrade.com/pdf/LCBO_Tr..._List_BRTD.pdf That is in effect almost all the beer varieties available in the whole of Ontario The selection in London UK isn’t that limited |
