If you were all emigrating again what would you bring with you?
If you were all going back home what would you take back to the UK?

I'd have brought British weather, the efficiency and common sense of UK services; going back I'd take the Canadian family.
Not convinced they'd be too happy about house spiders though.

Take back, the Albertan weather, laid back way of life, friendly personalities, er how many can I choose?!LOL
Not that it matters, cos for us theres no going back!
Speaking of which, did anyone ever watch that show?

A bed, I stupidly only bought my spare bed with me when I came over, I thought I'd buy a new one when I got here.
The logic also is that bed sizes here are slightly different, Queen size here is roughly the same as King size in the UK but not quite, so when you buy sheets here they don't quite fit the UK bed.
I've had a hell of a time with beds here, you think that brand X is going to be okay for whatever reason but the reality is that mattress companies have plants all over the place and what one plant makes is not necessarily what another makes. I was like: "yay, I get to have a Serta mattress again". The first Serta I got was barely okay but I haven't found a decent one since. Simmons I think are made in Edmonton and they are shite, imo. I had one that had memory foam on it and I'm not joking, it was giving off toxic fumes, I had to see the doctor.
Ended up getting an Ikea bed (made in Mexico).
